Ok I have to ask. for type 1 heads are the intake valves bigger then the exhaust?

If not then if the type 2 heads have bigger valves then all you need to do is look at the valve size right?

Moistical can you possibly get pics of your valves on the type 2 heads. Anyone have a valve pic of the type 1 heads?

Lets not get in to this...the differences between the two types of heads is well documented all over this forum all you have to do is search. What youre asking means you havnt searched well enough.

Lets simply find a way to tell if a head is T1 or T2 by way of marking. Someone could take an intake valve diameter measurement and compare to shop manual data. Since the T2 has 1mm bigger intake valves it should check. However if people cant use the search feature I doubt they can use a caliper tool.....

Using what Blkonblk mentioned about camshaft:

Type II cams have 2 grooves around the ends of them

Type I cams have 1 groove.
I can snap shots of a T2 camshaft, does anyone have a T1 they can take pics of?

Hmm if you gys don't know by tomorrow shoot me a PM I have a set of TI heads and a digital caliper in the garage but I am off to bed right now and shipped my TI cams off :(

Well come on everyone lets post the information that will truely show they are type 2's. Because our search doesn't give great reasons. Besides the px9 which isn't on the heads.

Do the numbers on my head mean anything? Like 6 and 8 then in one spot it says 59?

As for the valves, I THINK type II intake valves are like 34.1mm, cause the type I's are 32.9-33.1 mm. SO the type II's should be 1 mm larger correct???????:headscrat :bootyshak

AND, I THINK this camshaft end will have two grooves on it for type II, and only one for type I.....

Or? Is it the rear end of the cam?:headscrat :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
