Just wanted to post this, Not sure if any of you know but cars here in Japan are cheap! Used that is. And almost always in mint or great condition. I purchased my Legend from a dealership where I work part time. Japanese have a thing about owning used cars, if they can afford new they always buy new. Good for those of us that can't. Anyway, check my pics I bought this car for $1800 with 80000 km roughly 60 something thousand miles!!!! Yep, NO LIE!!!! And About a month ago I hooked up two friends with KA7's one fully loaded 93 Black w/ tan leather for $1900, the other White Pearl with tan leather for $1600!!!!!!!! Too bad I can't send whole vehicles back to you guys!!

Man, for that kind of money, I can use a spare 6-speed LS Coupe! hehehhe...................., for everyday driving I mean. :D
Two Words: HOLY SH*T!!!

Damn, man that is sweet. You could make sooo much money if you could import all these into the U.S. There is no way you can beat these deals, including at ANY auction.

If only I could get my ass to Japan with 10g's to spare I'd come back with five of those babies!!! :)
6SPEED

I asked the guy at the dealership if he could locate me a 6 speed transmission for mine, his answer...... Maybe in the states!!!! They either don't produce a six speed for sale here or they are very hard to come by. Plus over here, we all know that for resale on most cars in the states a manual transmission will depreciate the car........ Well all vehicles over here, if they have manuals they can be worth up to twice as much for used. I.E. my friend has a 94 Skyline GTS-T and paid $2700 a manual would get $5500+!!!!
And they don't have Models here like the states like L or LS. Only Legend with maybe a different interior.
But doesnt it cost an arm and a leg to keep used cars on the road?

Some sort of tariff or something.
NO

There is JCI, Japanese Compulsory insurance, and it is expensive for Japanese. It has to be purchased every two years. It can cost Japanese people alot, maybe $2000+ but for all of us with SOFA, Staus of Forces Agreement (military) it is about $325 total! And then road tax every year at 20,000 yen for a Legend.. about $175.
Japan eh? Mind gettin me some JDM goodies? Of course you wont go un-rewarded.
Check the thread on FOR SALE!! Contact me or aiznpride he is helping me take orders
I would love to buy one of those Legends!!
By the way, I heard that in Japan you have to change your engine after 30,000 miles??? Is that true?
My friend was telling me that becoz of all the bad traffic (stop/go driving) the engine has to be changed after 30k miles to maintain the emission standards.
No

Never heard that before. And ask those guys that live in NY like aiznpride about stop and go traffic! They are strict about emissions but the vehicles produced here also exceed all Amerian standards, thatis before I put on my straight pipe!!HAHA:)
Speak of the devil. I just posted pics of bargains on legends from Yahoo Japan in the gallery.

I can see it now... can I have 1 piece headlight for my usdm legend and for around the same price can you send me another legend.

No wait I'll take seven legends one for each day of the week:D
I'll check into it, in the meanwhile get a passport and plane ticket and get over here. Everyone on the forum is welcome at my place ...I THINK??!!
Consider this

The cars are cheap, but like Iwas saying earlier about costs, by the time a Japanese person bought one for a sticker price of say..$2000 add in title transfer, JCI, and all the other sh** a national has to pay then the same car has just cost about $7500 to $8000 still not bad for a LEGEND!!:) And Parts are expensive usually, and no parts unless aftermarket car be purchased without a title for the vehicle!
how about this

can you hook up a group buy for us there !!!:D :D :D

i would sell current one, then get two of those down there!!!
one sedan, one coupe, no doubt!!
G
Now if you can't get parts w/o a title how will you beable to get the headlights and such for us??
Jason, I beleive you sent me an email last week. I replied but it came back with the "MAILER DAEMON" crap...it was regarding offset...do you still need help?
Thanks, Leon I'm good now. And for the title thing I have mine and my partner has the KA7 so I can buy all the parts I want for those models!!
