The truth of the matter is this California doesn't WANT us to put tint on the front windshield, driver window or passenger window. When I was in MD I got pulled over three times (tint too dark, but I think it was just merquest77 said:
) and had to take my car to Glen Burnie and wait outside in that pain in the a$$ line after I had ripped off my tint. It got too expensive. Now that I'm here in Cali, I can't even tint the fronts but I can make the back and rears limo tint blocking 95% of the light. It doesn't make sense except because folls be gettin' JACKED so much in L.A. cops want to be safer. I think it's bull. They had a special law drawn up by the oceanside police dept. that allows THEM to even tint their windshields and side windows. One of their reasons was to keep the heat down inside their vehicles. DUHHH. It's hotter than CANCUN here during the summer! I HAVE to park my car in a garage here during the summer. I thought it got hot in Catonsville during the summer, but when was the last time you saw 106 DEGREES on the news? I don't think Marty Bass has ever said those words in the same sentence . But leave it up to the cops... You can't (not supposed to) do it but they can!!! examples... Stealing [donut shop], Speeding [sometimes they flash their lights to go throug intersections], Window tint [DAMN, even the windshield]. Yeah, I've got my issues with cops, especially MD.There is surely a difference between Potomac and Catonsville . There the cops f*%ked withme soo much. Even when I went to Glen Burnie MVA they said that the glass had 2% tint to it so when I applied the 35% tint it brought the light transmission down to 33% which was illegal. Reasons like that are why I left the first state south of the Mason-Dixon line ... get it!
