today i just got my new viper 500esp alarm installed. It is really cool but the only thing is when the alarm arms and goes to role up my windows they go really slow.

I know I need some silicone spray in there but do u guys have any other ideas that also help my windows go up faster.

Oh yeah, when my car alarm is armed and i use the trunk release from the remote it sets off my factory alarm because because the trunk release is wired off the button in the car, so its like reaching in and pressing it when the doors are locked. The trunk release does work though i just have to hit the unarm button first.

I am going to go back and tell the guy who installed it tommorrow, i think he didn't notice it because you have about a minute to do it before the factory alarm sets.

Its pretty cool have two alarms hooked up, double the protection.

does that viper have a silent entry button. I mean can you arm and disarm it without it chirping, only the lights on the car blink. I hate to wake people up late at night.

when they install your viper alarm they can turn the chrip off all together. I read it in the manual. I didn't know that and i think i might have had that done to mine.
I saw that too, but I like the chirp...kind of a warning if you are in a realy bad area, plus, it talks to you...i.e. you forget to push the door in all the way...and press the arm button...well, it will chirp once...then again, to let you know, "Hey, you forgot something!" If you press lock again, it will bypass that area.
