i have a 90 ls coupe, whenever i'm going through uneven roadsways like bumps or turning there's creeking noises like when yu step on a loose floorboard or rusty springs when they strecthed. anyone have any ideas or know what the problem is? bad suspension? like the strut or springs? thanks in advance

I have that noise too.. only on the front.. I'm thinking its the shock absorbers.... cuz, it makes a sound on speed bumps... like an up and down motion kind a sound... any thoughts?

mine does this as well, but only in the back. i have no idea what is causing it tho. i've even had the suspension checked and been told there's nothing wrong with it.

no no no

its your lower sway bar bushings.................i just had my tie rods done and that exact thing was happening to me.........spray wd40 on teh sway bar bushings and it will go away

well its been more than a month since i last said anythign in this thread. but i finally found out wat the problem is. tonite i was changing my starter and while i was unbolting it i notice that the mid section of my strut had rust on it. and upon closer inspection i see that it was been completly rusted but still holding up though and a small section of the outer strut has broken off . so i need to replace my front struts.

Creaking in front

Its been awhile since I have been on the forum as I have had a busy, car-trouble-free summer. For the last few weeks, the creaking sounds from the front, as I turn into the driveway, have become louder and louder. My buddy figures it is bearings in the front struts as his Accord had the same sounds and they went away when he replaced the front struts. I would do the same, except 1st Gen Legend struts are twice as much as those for the Accord. I do not want to drop $500 and then find out it is something else. Is replacing the struts the end -all solution? My 1990 L is going to need some TLC soon, but I want to go in the right direction.
