Is a ricer coffee can!! I wouldn't personally use that - probably really loud and the tip definately won't go well with the cars lines (or classy appearance). Leave those things for the civics! :)

I know a few people will not agree with me, but i think the Remus is overpriced, not overrated, but overpriced. I did a lot of research and decided to go with Banzai muffler. I was sh...ng in my pants when the installation was taking place. I thought it was going to sound too loud and too much like a civic or something like that. Well, $225.00 later including tip, let me tell you that this muffler is sweet. it has a very deep sound that you can barerly hear at idle. when you step on it you can hear it, but it is a very elegant sound. Performancewise, i need to see how a Remus is going to beat me. i cannot picture a different muffler giving our cars more power. my low and mid power went through the roof. i am telling you, i do not see how $360.00 more would have given me more for my money. This muffler is polished stainless steel. It looks and sounds just right. Remember, this is just my opinion after a couple of months of research. I am posting this because i would like to give all members an alternative to spending a lot of money on a muffler. My car is a 1991 Legend L sedan.

veloci, is it your info thats on the legend.org site regarding your Banzai muffler? After reading that info months ago I was sold on it - where can I get one of those at a good price?? Can you give me any more info on the Banzai - like the model # etc so I can find one??
Also, have you ever heard your muffler compared to a Remus - by your description, the Banzai is what I'm looking for, but everyone seems to make the same comments about the remus. I would love to hear how this banzai muffler sounds in direct comparison to the Remus....

Octane, i will give you the part# and phone # tomorrow. i have them at work. i listen to a Legend with a Universal Remus and i liked my as much as his. Performancewise, i am impressed with the Banzai. And i was turned to the Banzai from what i read in the Legend.org forum. I just cannot justify to myself spending $580.00 to $650.00 for a muffler. Again, i rather spend that kind of money on something else for my Legend.:D

JJJ,

Just a joke man, since that's what everyone runs around with where I'm from... I have an OBX with a custom catback for my car, but I was getting at just throwing teh muffler on there (and then having attitude like a racecar driver about it... pretty funny)

part # for muffler BM725 $169.99

i hope you get one. you will not regret it, i have not yet. i do not think i will.
veloci, from the info I have:

http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/banzai.htm

you got the one that is 7" Round X 20" L, 2.25" In/Out. I see another option (BO725) that is 6"X9" Oval X 20" L, 2.25" In/Out. Do you know if this muffler will also fit the Legend? If it does, do you think there would be any difference in sound/performance?

.....just curious.....

I thought of the same thing. I went with the round because i thought it will look better. But, talking with the people at Banzai, they told me that performance and sound will be identical. it just looks. Now that i have the round, i think the oval might have looked better. you will be happy either way. Let me know once you get it and let me know what you think.

It will probably be a while since I just blew $300 on my car (various things including A/C service, suspension adj., alignment, etc.) only to find out my 1 of my freaking brand new Konis (well, 3months old) is leaking....

I'm also still paying off my new CL Type S rims and rubber :)

But when I get around to the new exhaust I think I will be going with the Banzai now that I have heard 2 rave reviews on it (yours and the one on the legend forum).

Thanks again for everything veloci!
Dave
