My Rod bearings look fine-normal wear, however there was an aparent knocking noise following the revs+a few mechanics and engine bulders all said the same thing-rod bearing knock.

A few of them also mentioned a possible cracked or loose flex plate/torque converter could do it too. that would explain it-at least one bolt on the flex plate is all the way loose:D

Anythign else?

Ooo, that's not good. Hey, didn't you install that yourself ;) . But all kidding aside, I'm thinking about a bent valve possibly. Tough to tell without being able to hear it though.

Nah, i bent a valve on my type one and this is nothing like that. when a valves bent you loose a cylinder or good amount of power. i havent lost either-just a noise
