i am almost positive you cant change the bulb for d1,d2,p,d,r. it is welded in.

i will be switching mine out soon, (odemeter isnt working), and I will turn the project into a DIY with pictures.
I will do a DIY indiglo gauge installation with a connection to the dimmer switch so you dont have to click a button to use them.

DIY= do it yourself.
I will be doing it in about a month. Kind of far away

Hey MikeD, off topic, but what do you think would be required/changed to do an Automatic Climate Control Swap? I just purchased a L trim coupe, with low miles 64,000.. has no Auto Climate Control like my GS.

 

Hey Mike, do you know if its possible to actually buy replacement bulbs for our instrument clusters?

I went in a swapped out the gear lights a while ago cuz my D4 went out, but I'd like to eventually replace the blown out bulb and have them all light up again. Also, the bulb behind my fuel gauge just quit on me last week, so I'd need one of those too. Maybe you have an old, used cluster laying around you could part some bulbs from?

Here are the bulbs you need: Bulb T5/Bulb T1/Bulb T2/Bulb T3/Bulb T4. That what you meant? -Mike

I was thinking about just replacing the busted bulbs with new ones so everything will light up like they are supposed to. Do those new LED lamps fit perfectly where they are supposed to go in our clusters? or do they need some modifications to get in? I'd love to swtich over to the LEDs but don't want to make a week long project out of it. Let me know when you get a chance, thanks again!

hey mike, i have a couple more questions for you if you dont mind. the numbers in cluster light up but i cant see the needles at all. do you know what bulb would be out for that to happen? maybe the top one? also the buttons on the climate control dont light up, im not sure if they are supposed to or not. the little green light under the button that is selected works but the pictures dont. if you could let me know what you think that would be great. thanks again.

The climate control system has been done since I believe 95Legend, DJpolak and I have already done this mod.
