Hello All!
This is S/R Motorsports.
We are the Company that will be Producing the Indiglo Gauges for the Acura Legend 160 MPH.

I am sorry if any of you are disappointed to see that the Indiglo Gauges are not the Reverse Style (VW), but we have tried selling the 140 MPH 1991-1995 Acura Legend as Reverse(VW), and it did not sell. As a company we have to of course go with what will sell. If we have enough people who would like to have the Reverse Acura Legend 160 MPH Indiglo Gauges, we will make them. If we get a group of at least 30 people who are willing to pay $25 up front and $24.99 after the gauges are complete totaling $49.99, we will make the gauges in the Reverse/VW Style. We will not bill anyone of the 30 people for the $25 until we have a total of 30 people. If you are interested in being one of the 30 people to participate, email us at:
[email protected]

For anyone who does not know the difference between the 2-color (gauges that we are producing) and Reverse/VW Style (gauges we can produce if we see a demand) you can see them at the following URL's

2-Color Style

Reverse/VW Style

In about a two weeks, for those people who would like the two-color (Blue and Green) Indiglo Gauges, they will be available for Pre-Order at http://www.streetracerparts.com
We are going to be selling the 160 MPH Acura Legend Gauges for $49.99 USD plus shipping.
As soon as we have the Indiglo Gauges in our hands, which will be in about 3 to 4 weeks, we will send them out immediatly to anyone who has pre-ordered them.

Just so that everyone knows, you DO NOT have to remove your needles to install our indiglo gauges, and when we make our Inidiglo Guages, we use an actual Stock Gauge Cluster taken striaght out of a Car to make the templates for our gauges. That way they will look just as original stock gauges do(Except White Faced) and they will fit perfectly into your car when installed.

If you have any questions, Please feel free to ask and we will try to get back to you within 24 hours. You can contact us at :
[email protected]

Thats all for now. Thank you!

Maybe this is the jealousy talking, but I am not sure that there are 30 GS owners on the boards who are looking for gauges... Hopefully there are. If not you might consider bumping the price up slightly higher to compensate for your efforts in production, and simply lower the minimum order of units. Just an idea if there are not enough GS owners for this group buy.

----

I would also like to add that I have VERY similar reverse indiglos to those shown in the posted picture. These gauges are really great. The color scheme is much better and easier on the eyes than other brands.

For those who might be worried about installation, it is really quite simple. As long as you are careful with bending the indiglos and slipping them on, you will have no trouble with breaking your needles or otherwise damaging your stock gauge cluster. (Just a scnote to comfort those who had been ared by horror stories of 13 year olds breaking gauge needles while trying to install a set of gauges between classes...)

Well, there may not be 30 GS owners on the forums, but there are a lot of 93-95 Coupe owners. For those who didn't know, the 93 Coupe were the first to get all the good things that people think only come on the 94-95 GS Sedans. All 93-95 L and LS Coupes also have the TYPE II engine with 160MPH speedometers.

To the seller, it might take a while to get the list going, but when HIDVision asked for 50 TYPE II (160MPH) owners for them to make the reverse gauges, we had over 50 people ready. However, even when we provided them with scans and an original set of TYPE II gagues, they never made them. Oh well.

Put me down for 1 set. I own a 93 LS Coupe and have TCS, but at this moment, I don't really care if you guys make a provision for the TCS lights in the tach section. I just want to see a set made for other owners.
Also, I know someone posted what years have the 160MPH gauges on the other post, but I will give you the exact details here as well.

93-95 L Coupe have the 160 MPH gauges, but they DO NOT have TCS (Traction Control System) so they do not have the TCS and TCS Active lights near the bottom of the tachometer gauge.

The 93-95 LS Coupes, and the 94-95 GS Sedans also have the 160 MPG gagues, but they DO HAVE TCS, so they do have the TCS and TCS Active lights at the bottom of the tachometer gauge.

While I don;t expect you guys to actually make a cut out provision for the TCS lights to be visable, it might be something you guys actually can work out if at all posible.
ChrisK, I totally agree with you (I don't expect you guys to actually make a cut out provision for the TCS lights to be visable) -AND... 50 duckets does seem VERY reasonable.

I am in for a couple (2) sets - and would prefer the accomodation of TCS on my tach guage.

i'm in for a couple sets. if you have the tcs cutouts, that'll be great. if not, i'm sure we can find a way to move the light or something.=)

I agree with Chris. I am definitely down for a set.
Pricing is great...and if you need any assitance pusing it, let me know, I can advertise it on my site. Email me for details.
<---- jumps on the wagon

splash! im in!

i'd looooooooove to see some pics before we buy though.

'specially if choosing b/w reverse or traditional indiglos....
I've already posted my vote on the other thread, but as it seems that this one is becoming the official head count list, put me in for a set as well. Maybe you guys should specify whether you'd like the reverse or indiglo gauges, because if we could get 30 people committed for the reverse ones, that would give the company the green light to start producing them. I'm down for one each of the the indiglo and the reverse gauges.
I don't have a typeII, but I took part in the original GB for the reverse indiglo gauges for the typeI. If you guys remeber, there is an issue with seeing the needles at night with reverse indiglos. As Legend needles don't let up. That's something to consider when choosing regular or reverse.
i would buy the reverse for a 92 legend that goes up to 160

Umm.... Why?
How about KPH for Canada, Japan, Europe and the rest of the world? I'm down for a set, but KPH would sure be nice!

hmm... good point. i imagine i would take out the gauge lights (the ones that illuminate the gauges from the top) if i got indiglos... and if they were, in fact, reverse indiglos then that leave me guessing speed =D (already did that enough when VSS went out).

if the lights were left in, would it not ruin the "indiglo effect"?
BUY IN HAS BEEN LOWERED!! KPH For the rest of the WORLD!

Hello,
We took the advice that a few of you posted, and we have lowered the amount of people needed for producing the Acura Legend 160 MPH Reverse Indiglo Gauges to 20 and raised the price to $40.00 to pay up front and $9.99 after the Indiglo Gauges have completed production.

Also, we dedicated a page entirely to Developing the Legend 160 MPH Reverse Indiglo Gauges at the following URL:
http://www.streetracerparts.com/legend_development.htm

We have also added the KPH Version to our Development list for both the 2-Color and the Reverse Indiglo Gauges.
One Problem though, we need someone to help us find or supply us with a KPH Acura Legend Type 2 Cluster. If anyone can help us to find the KPH cluster, Please contact us at
[email protected]

Thank you!

QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERES

Hello,
I just recieved an e-mail asking if whether of not we will be able to do the TCS cutouts.
The answer at this point is hopefully, as it sounds like quite a few of you have this on your Legends, but at the point we actually had the cluster in fron of us for the 160 MPH Legend, we were still very un-informed about the Legend Type 2 and the differences it had such a TCS and no TCS on some years. We have already given the gauge cluster to our Factory Producer, so we cannot be sure whether the cluster we had came with the TCS on it or not. We will contact our Factory Producer, and find out, but unfortunately they are closed for the weekend so we will not know until sometime next week.

If the Cluster which we are producing does not have TCS we will need someone to supply us with the TCS version.
Does anyone know that if we did have the TCS version, could we just take that of to compensate the people who do not have TCS?
Or would that mess something up?

Also, again, we need someone to help us out in getting the KPH Version of the Legend Type 2.

Regarding a question whether we can produce clear taillights, we probably could, but they would not be approved by the Department of Transportation, in meaning that you could get pulled over and possibly sited. Start a thread asking people if they want the clear taillights, and if we see enough replies we will look into making them.

Thank you!

I would possibly be interested in reverse indiglos, however I am concerned about not being able to see the needles. Is there any kind of fix for this?
