I have an L sedan and it has the bose system.
I think that it should fit the L as well
No, the BOSE system in the L is not the same as the BOSE system in the LS/GS. The BOSE system in the L has no accomadation for the outboard ampliflier found on the LS/GS system. L BOSE system is a model 2200 syste, while the LS/GS syste, is a 2100 system.

What's with the model #s 2100/2200 is there any specific reason why these numbers are used... ?

I noticed there is an equalizer I believe on the non-BOSE editions?

that is correct, and those units have built in amplifiers and can be used in some other honda's with the double DIN opening.

The reason why BOSE labled each deck differently is because they are different headunits. They look the same but are not. The 2200 L BOSE system is a 80W receiver system. It was the amplifier section built in the headunit. The LS/GS 2100 BOSE system is a tunner only, and uses a separate 200W amp located behind the rear seat.
