Hey guys-

I just posted a couple weeks ago about getting an '87 Legend L Coupe. Got it from a family member who has taken great care of it and it has 215,000 miles on it. It's a second car right now and it has been sitting for about 5 weeks. I have been starting it and driving it once a week though. I went out this evening to start it and it was completely dead. I attempted to jump start it and although I had the cranking power from the jump, it wouldn't start. Turned over very strong but I couldn't get it to fire, tried for about 10 minutes. It started fine about 5 days ago so I'm not sure what is going on. Also, the battery is only a few months old so it really should not have died to begin with. Nothing was left on in the car that would have cause it to drain. I guess the good thing is it happened at my house! Just wondering if anyone may know what might be the problem. Thnx!

Take the intake hose off just enough to squirt a little fuel in & see if it fires off for a second or two, then you can tell if its fuel related or not. (relay, fuel pump, fuse, etc.) Be careful of fire possibility if it backfires, put the hose back on after squirting fuel in there.
