although the 6.5 might be too small to fit the front, our fronts are actually 6.5S or 6.75 as some manufactures call it. It won't be that big of a problem though, just that some of the holes for the screws won't line up, so you can only screw half of the speaker down.
Also the kappa 6x9 have a larger magnet than stock, so it won't fit directly in the back of the sedan, you have to hammer the opening under the speaker housing back about half an inch to get them to fit.
I have kappa 63.1li and 693li, they are about 2 years old, so I don't know if they changed on the new kappas.
usually, the 6x9's will just be plug and play. for these speakers, it has a passive crossover that plugs into the woofer and a separate wire plugging into the tweeters.
so basically, you plug u'r speaker wire into the +/- leads of the wire they supply you with. and then plug the other ends to the speaker (there's 2 sets of +/-)
and that's it. the only thing is, there's a small box that's wired inline with the wire they supply you with (passive crossover). you have to mount that somewhere so it doesn't bounce around inside u'r door.
for the front, mount the xover inside the door. the front door is hollow so you can zip tie it to anything in there.
as for the back, after you hammer the the hole tomake the 6x9 fit, put the xover inside the hole and mount the speaker. that's the quickest and easiest way to do it.
