I don't know anything can save your rims from the sh!tty michigan roads. My friend with a Accord V6 just cracked his 18's.
I think one of my 17's are bent, not sure yet. I already replaced one cracked rim over Xmas break (I broke it right after you saw me).

I would think changing to 40 series tires will help a bit, bigger sidewall should absorb more impact. I just changed mine to the 50 series, I couldn't stand 45s anymore. Although not even 75 profile tires can save anyone from the human sized potholes in detriot:D. One of my friend broke a stock rim in one of those.
Haahahahhahaha! Dman bro sorry to hear that. Where do you take your rims to get fixed? I go to weldcraft wheels in plymouth. Good guy pretty cheap too. I have to take them in this week and I need 3 new tires too:mad: Good thing I have lifetime replacement. I might try to see if discount will replace all my tires with 40 series cause the 35 are way too small

I actually completely broke one rim, unfixable! One of my spokes snapped off. So I got a new one instead.

Holy ****. Thats nuts. I m suprised my enkeis havent snapped in half yet. I am avoiding the 94 totaly until the winter tires get put back on
i would go with 225/40/18's
that should help you out a lttle. 35 series tires on 18's is way too thin IMO.

Thats what Im thinking. Problem is I already have the tires. I wonder if they would be willing to up them if I pay ther diff. I am really unhappy with the 35 series tires CAUSE IF THEY DONT BUBBLE THEY GET MY RIMS CRACKED
most stores will not take back tires that have been rolled on. u'r best bet is trying to sell them and buy a new set.

Just curious, what brand of wheels is it? that is cracked. Because from my experience, cheap wheels tend to crack, and the more expensive wheels with good reputation only bents. Unless if you hit them to the sidewalk, that's another whole different story, cheap or expensive will be the same results, hehehee................
u are all correct...

also, Enkei's are rather strong......

just get some 225/40 and maybe one of us will take them 35's off your hands
Yes even the welder said that the enkei I have is a beatiful rim. Its just the roads out here are so bad. Seriously since there are no toll roads the fixing the highway is a rather expensive and rare occurence. The 94 outisde detroit is by far the worst road I have ever driven on. Potholes as big as cars and about 2 inches deep. Couple that with the 70 mph speed limit and you have alot of people in trouble. People even bend their rims on 60 series tires thats how bad it is
BTW 3 of the tires need to be replaced anyways , and discoutnt tire has a lifetime warranty so I get new ones for free thats why I think of uping the tire size. You think I might be able to pull it off?

worth a try

that is horrible (bending on 60 series)

:(
UPDATE:
went to the shop and they are willing to up the size to 215/40. Only problem is I have to buy 1 tire at full price and the others are covered. Anyways total price would be 288 mounted balanced ect. lifetime warranty.Should I do it?

ps
My tire and whell combo size is same height as stockl wheel combo. If I get a 40 series it will be a little taller. Will this affect my speedo much?
