hey guys whatsup im here again to bring great news i have installed 04+tsx coilovers made by ksport. they had a ton of trouble going in but the results are totally worth it. when was the last time you took a onramp at 60. im going to post pictures tommorow with progress and results. bad thing about these coils is that the oem upper mount is necessary to re use but you have to drill out the oem one to fit onto the ksports. otherwise they bolt in like nothing.

why did you go TL verse verse buying legend "specific" coilovers?

Wrong section Lou, this is the RL section. there's no KA9 specific suspension stateside. TSX coilovers are proven fits, is the best of what's available. Nobody's test fitted KA7 stuff to KA9s

And it's TSX

I agree with alperovich! :worthless

dont worry guys tommrow i just want to get it finished right. the back needs to go down more and the fronts i need to put different mounts and washers on. but they feel amazing.

tein ss for the tsx, if so it may have been a little more easy to install than the ksports but i love the stiffness of them i can make any turn much quicker.

I think ksport would be better.

the tein SS do NOT have adjustable strut body (full tap). with the tein, the lower you go - the shorter your strut rod travel.

the ksport has adjustable strut body.

Polish Pete, how much lower can you drop the car?

Did you use stock upper mounts?

ok now i have the lock nuts set at 1.75 inch from each other on the front and 1.25 in the rear. and yea i had to cuz the tsx ones were too small, but the oem mounts the center hole is too small for the rod on the ksports so i had to drill it out and when i put it together there is little room for the lock nut to really lock it sucks.

Can you cut the bushings and the shaft in the stock upper mount so that there is more thread engagement? Take some pix.

btw, are those shocks adjustable? What are the spring rates?

You going to change your rear sway bar? I love how my car handles now with the rear bar. There's a lot less front wheel spin now in the corners. Just wish I had an LSD to completely eliminate it. Actually is there one available for 2nd gen Legends do you know?

not really but theres someone who fabricates them for roughly 700 and you need to send him your diff and stuff. see i wouldnt want to cut the shaft and bushing in the upper mount its a sensitive area and tough metal. i might just lathe off some of the shaft on the coilovers. the coils are fully adjustible height and damper. rates are 13/9 pretty high but i love the handling and yea i will change the bar but i need tires more cuz they just slip when i turn hard and slip alot.

polish pete,

How did you adjust height ? with the two spring perches or the lower perch bracket ?

The lower perch bracket looks to be independent from the strut body, I can see how it can be used to lengthen (raise) but how do you use the lower perch bracket to shorten (drop) ?

um you see the lower lock nut i guess thats the lower perch to you but moving that closer to the other lock nut shortens the strut making your car lower. there different than the teins.

nevermind i got it.

So how is the ride compared to stock? I only ask because the rates do seem a little on the high side to me.
