NSX swap

hey, dont delete this. simply an information thread on NSX and legends differences

bottom of nsx block

bottom of legend block

just a little info for all you wanna be nsx swappers. the dont line up. you could get away with just bolting the diff to the oil pan, but the oil pan wont even fit. you would have to make a completely new oil pan etc.

here is some pics of a worked nsx block. made me go a big rubbery one.
http://www.pansx.com/prog.htm

this information makes it fairly impractical to use an NSX engine in a legend.

that combined with the width of the engine. an nsx engine will not physically fit in our engine bay. Thats all i got guys. now all the swap threads can get deleted immediately pretty much. not really possible.

But Rkon said it was possible!

I think this was pretty much a given. Thanks for the info though!

with all this action as far as headers and turbos, i was just going to check it out. taking the measurements and all, its not possible to get it in there. nice idea though.

nothing is impossible.
if stephan papadakis can swap a mid-engine RWD NSX motor in his civic, someone would probaly do the same to the legend

Some people would give their life savings for 70+ horsepower at the wheels in their Legend

Not the best alternative though, I mean, your SC is more sensible

On a serious note, what would be the problems of swapping the nsx heads onto the legend block?

Coolant and head dimensions, engine bay space, internal strength, a million other things.

Flat out, it can't be done without $10k+
