Red face 91 Legend LS newb.

Hello, im not new to performance but i am new to the import scene. Just grabbed a 91 Legend ls, has 110k on it, It is not perfect ut it has potential. I have to say i was impressed with the still decent punch of the engine when i drove it. I know there are things that needs to be checked out. Any info or direction on anything i need to know would be great. The first thing is i am ripping out the radio, they sound horrible. The car looks a bit ruff and has a bit of cancer behind the wheels, paint is ok. The leather inside has some trouble spots but that is easy to fix. Thanks for looking and look forward to talking to some of you.

Hello Henry, I just purchased 91 myself. It sounds like we have the same car. Mine has a little cancer at the rear wheels also. The stock radio sounds bad? Mine doesnt work (dont have code) Im wondering if Im better off putting new radio instead of trying to find the code. What do you think? I have a Sony cd I can put in instead. Would love to hear your or anyboy elses opinion. Im new to the forum. Thanx

You can go to your Acura dealer with your reg or title and they will give you the code for your radio for free......The factory stereos on these cars sound decent I wouldn't call it horrible.....then again we are talking about a 17 yr old stereo.....It could be the speakers as well. When I change my radio I'm going to change the speakers as well. Enjoy your new ride.

I have changed speakers, still sounds like water in the speakers. Real bad. I am swapping the headunit out eventually, just doin research on some other parts first. As long as it runs i cant complain too much. Thanks for the welcome folks.

There are a few members here who have access to stereo codes as long as you have the serial #. Search for the thread on here and just post up your serial #. I would definitely suggest replacing the head unit and speakers. replaced the speakers with Infinity Kappa Perfects all the way around and an alpine head unit and 4 channel amp for the speakers and it sounds amazing. Good luck.

To get the Radio code -
You need to get the serial number off of your radio. To do that you need to pull out the radio a little so you can see the underside of the radio. To do that you need to pull off your burled walnut console. See the online service manual if you need to see how. Acura Legend Online Service Manual (Page: 0816)

Then call Acura of Augusta at 1-800-851-5158. With the radio serial number you will have your code in under 1 minute...no travel necessary. See this post https://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...ml#post1267010
