New member in Georgia USA
I'm Tom and live in Georgia. I have a '94 Acura Legend L and a '95 Legend LS, both with many miles and age related issues.
The '94 started blowing blue smoke and leaking oil from somewhere. So even though I've never worked on an Acura and never really torn down an engine before, I'm now doing my first valve stem seal replacements, head gaskets, oil seals, timing belt and water pump replacement, all while chasing the source of the leak. And so far I've managed to only round off a single bolt.
All of this I'm documenting through pictures on Instagram - mainly so I can remember what part or bolt went where when it's time to put it all back together. But if you're interested to follow the milestones and mistakes of a rookie shade tree mechanic, I invite you to take a look on Instagram under the handle "sequoia_rebuild." (Yeah, I'm also tearing down an inoperable Toyota Sequoia.)
