Newbie: Renton, WA
Ok, I'm new here. I have a 1991 white (should know the real color name, but will have to look that up later!) Legend, auto, blue interior, the big engine. Can you tell I'm a girl? I love my Acura and want to keep it. It is falling apart cosmetically. The driver's seat is worn thru to the foam, the top of the back seat and headrests are cracked and split open. I've tried my best to keep the oil changed, and other maintenance things, like changing the timing belt. I have a rebuilt engine with 60K miles on it. Car total miles 209,000! Sure hope it will last til I can save my pennies to get it changed. It's due.
I need some help diagnosing a problem. Got a clunking noise that is getting louder and louder, seems to be right under the floor, maybe to the right a little. Transmission is not having a problem, and I thought maybe it was a wheel bearing but some friends say doesn't sound like it. Is there 2 axles in front? I had one replaced about a 1-1/2 years ago because the CV boot was cracked. But this isn't the same kind of noise. Are there more bearings somewhere in front, and is my wheel going to fly off as I'm driving to Vancouver every other weekend?
There ya go! Love my Acura, only know how to wash it and take it for oil changes! ha!
