FS: 94 Coupe (Not Mine)

I wasn't going to post this up, but there's something very odd about this car. I think I know what the deal is, but I'm curious if other members come to the same conclusion.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was looking at the bumper (which was not from a '94 coupe), then the grill, then the corner lights ...

Looks weird. Why would he ruin a good looking coupe front end for that?

I dont like how he doesn't mention anything about this in the ad.

My guess is accident repair, there aren't too many coupes to cull parts from around here, and this might be the only '94-95 I've seen around here at all. They were probably too cheap/lazy to source the coupe parts, instead they pulled all the parts from a sedan just to get it fixed.

As for the ad, buyer beware I guess . They probably don't want to point it out since most people wouldn't notice (not that I condone it, but it's hardly surprising). Either that or it was done before the seller got it and they have no idea ...

Hmmm... maybe I could experiment putting a coupe front end on my sedan?

Picture proof of a long asked question. Maybe he thought his overheating issue needed more air flow through the radiator.

I think OEM is the best look. I just don't happen to think any of the various arrangements of OEM got it exactly right all at once

You know its funny SAP I noticed the same thing when I saw it in Kijiji, but didn't know exactly what it was. I was like "it looks like the sedan front end" but didn't think it was true. Funny!

I e-mailed the seller, she seems pretty honest about it.

You have an excellent eye. The car was purchased in Nova Scotia, where it had only been driven in the summer, so had limited KM’s when purchased. It had been in a front-end accident, so we had the body professionally repaired (with the sedan front fenders, as the 2-door coupe was so rare) and had it shipped out west. It has been driven by me, mostly highway, over the past 4 years. The radiator and air conditioning compressor have been replaced since we purchased it. Both the water pump and the timing belt have been replaced – the brakes were inspected last fall and were still good, but new pads will need to be done in future. The front windshield was replaced and a new seatbeat put in on the driver side (piece of the plastic had broken off). It is a wonderfully smooth and sporty vehicle to drive, and the engines in these vehicles are famous for their longevity – that’s why we bought it.

Thanks for the interest! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Cathy

I then sent her a video of tysons Desert Mist Cruising around Arizona and now she is reconsidering selling it lol

Hmmmmmmm, Is it really possible to interchange the hood, headlights, bumper and fenders. If it is then I think a sedan would look better with a coupe front end.

Hah, I just realized I hadn't read this thread since your previous reply and emailed her before I scrolled down and read this.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I mean, it most likely was in a front-end collision. But it's basically a front end conversion. Very different and unique.
