I don't understand your question, ABS is Anti-lock Brake system, and whether or not the car has ABS putting your car in park works the same way. It has nothing to do with your brakes, it locks up the transmission so that your car will not roll.

maybe if you give some more information, i could answer your question better.

The four main component are continuously work in ABS system.

1. Speed sensors
2. Pump
3. Valves
4. Controller

I was recently driving along and a dog jumped off a small berm onto the road. I slammed on the brakes and the car screeched to a halt (no harm to the dog). Shouldn't the ABS stop any screeching - doesn't that mean the brakes have locked the tires up?
