Repairable?

Recently was rear-ended. Appraiser totaled based on cost to fix greater than value of car. Appraiser also told me that I could take to body shop and have them pull back the damage. My lovable G1 still drives OK. Would love to keep her. Any body work experts out there that can look at these pics and let me know?Click image for larger version

It can be done but will be expensive unless you know a friend who does bodywork. Doesn't seem to be that bad so I would say yes get her back on the road...

Ya, it's gonna be a bitch to fix the crush area near the door. Time to let go of that car and buy another one or you can use it as a spare parts car for the new one if you do decide to buy another G1.

Thanks to all for your advise. I ended up finding an '89 G1 L w/85K miles this weekend in Fresno.

Will use this red one for some personal parts and post on EBay to part out. Anyone need anything before I post to the masses?

This is an '89 G1 L w/black interior.

Unfortunately the antenna does not work. In my opinion the G1 antenna is a rare weak point along with the leather seats cracking.

I post pics of the front door panels for Frisco Cali.

And what condition is your center console in? Is it the same for a coupe and sedan?

Yes, the center console works on both Coupe and Sedan.

I have had to modify the center console with hinges from Home Depot so it is not in original condition.
