acura legend vs. honda accord

no...i didn't race.lol.

my dad is a salesman at a honda dealership so he let me test drive the accord, I4 and V6.

honestly, the I4 feels almost as quick as my car down low. it only chokes at higher RPM. lol.

The V6 on the other hand, i barely put any pressure on the pedal and off i went, where as the legend, i have to throttle it about 40% to get going.

now only if my curb weight was around 3150lbs, i'd feel much better

Doesn't look as good as the Legend though IMO.

I have an 04 Accord EX V6 Sedan, and honestly, the Legend doesn't compare when you put it head to head. Honda basically took everything that was good about the Legend, everything they learned from it,and put that information toward the current crop of Accord-class vehicles. My Accord is bigger, roomier, nimbler and faster than my Legend, and smoother too.

But I drive my Legend about 4x as much as my Accord nowadays. For whatever reason, I like it a lot more.

yes i'm with the styling.

legend>accord

but now the accord as mentioned, is quicker and roomier. it packs a punch and the accessories inside are much quieter (except road noise, which i can hear a lot)

!! The new Accord is really "Blah"?.. I thought it was a great design. Though, I must say that the quality in the 03+ is not nearly as good as the 98-02. Mostly just on interior components....they seem to break easily.

i personally only like the interior of the new accord.

though i do like the coupe more than the sedan, but at 26K i would just save up for an 04 TL

My 04 Sedan will skin any Legend, so I assume the Coupe would too. Let's face it, Honda is making better cars today than they were ten years ago (when I say better, I mean performance--The verdict is out on quality).

The coupe 6spd will smoke MANY cars out there!
From Car and Driver:
With a five-speed automatic sending power to its front wheels, the EX V-6 four-door needed 7.0 seconds to reach 60 mph and covered the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 92 mph. The six-speed two-door hit 60 in 5.9 seconds and hustled through the quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds at 98 mph.

I dunno, the Accord sedan does nothing for me.

And, the coupe needs a factory lip kit to look right IMO. I dunno, I am biased...I prefer the new TL...it's more unique.

For some reason, I really like the TSX / Euro Accord. When are they going to figure out that we want the good sh!t that the rest of the world gets?

Thats because the legend has a longer throttle "throw" (somebody correct me if I'm wrong with the temrs). Its a good thing to have more pedal variation while driving to accelerate or decelerate.
