1994 Acura Legend LS Coupe 6 speed 88k mi

Here is a very good project car to start with low price and low mileages as its age.

The seller (original owner) stated as follow:

Dent in the passenger side front hood.
The hinge on the hood broke which is why the hood is not closed.
The passenger head light is also broken.
The interior drivers seat is moldy and falling apart.
Paint is very dull (has not been washed in years).
Tires are flat but rims are in great condition.
Stick shift handle is moldy/coroded looking.
It has 88k miles on it. One owner, nonsmoker.
No rust on the body.
The engine ran just fine and no problems with the clutch.
Does not blow smoke or make any weird noises.
A/C works, power windows/doors work. No electronic malfunction.
Bose stereo, 6 disc CD changer in trunk, wood accents, electric seats, moonroof, 6 speed manual transmission.
Owner replaced the fuel filter, oil and battery 8 months ago to get it started.

Some one should pick this up and bring it back to live again. All it needs now is the TLC and paint.

This does look like a good project car especially with the low mileage and no rust. There are two things that concern me are the molded seats and shift lever. Where the windows left open for the for the elements to trash the interior, or was this car in a flood. Possible rust under the carpet and other places that aren't visible. Then there is the title issue.

This could be a great buy for someone depending on whether the "re-titled"
would work out. Would it be a salvaged title? Clean title?

It is hard to look at a coupe in such poor condition. makes you wonder why it was left to fall into such disrepair. The seats look like a tiger was living in the car. But, as pointed out, it could make for some great parts- wheels, trans, etc and it has low miles

I emailed the seller wanna to know why he left that Legend in such a poor condition and ask for the vin # or a car fax report, but no response from him yet, hopes to help out the next buyer.

Yeah, it could be a very good part car or a good project any way if some one wants to deal with it. The seller might want to let it go a little cheaper if it was flooded.

The questions: When did he assume the car?
Why is he selling?
Why not fix it up yourself, since you bought it?
Why is the shifter mildewy?
Who's ass cheeks sliced the seats?

Can I get it for about $500... please?

im going to fix it up. it sat because his mom bought him a 110,000 dollar sl600. The title is fine, they just dont have it at the moment (long story) But im having some legal literature put into the bill of sale to C.M.A.

I'm not giving away to much more because if someone snags this before i get there im going to be fucking pissed.

The car is such poor condition because it sat outside for the past 6 years, at least one of those years was under a tree. There was no flooding.

My husband is the original owner, he got a new car and let the acura sit for a few years. The registration expired. We decided to sell it and went to register it only to be told it was already registered to someone in Tampa. We got copies of the title history only to find an obvious forgery of my husbands signature on a duplicate title. We had a police report done where the officer checked the "secret" vin # and verified we were the owners. Well, time went by, I dropped the ball on following up with the fraud department and now here the car sits. I store the car at my mom's. A few of the neighbors tried to steal the car so to protect it my mom placed a lien on it for unpaid storage. She is now able to get a title in her name with this lien. We have not done so yet because why go through the hassle if the new owner just wants it for parts...

I'm not sure what the carfax report will show since the vin is registered to the wrong car and wrong owner. I do have all the documentation, original lease and purchase documents, police report verifying the vin and our case, copies of the forged title, etc. I can get the VIN # if you still want the carfax report.

I am setting aside this Saturday to show the car. I've gotten over 15 people interested in the one day it's been on craigslist so far.
