Blower motor only works on high

As I am new to this forum and have read many different ideas wwith my problem, i am still unsure about it. My 1995 Acura Legend SE fan blower only work on high speed. Has the transistor gone bad and if so where can i get one other than the dealer or junkyard? Also, does anyone have any pics of the transistor and its location. I went to the dealer, but they did not want to help me unles I wanted them to fix it. Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks.

Is it just that the fans are not working?

In my experience you will need to replace the whole unit, and the actual motor has stopped working. Its not cheap.

The fans are working, but the blower motor fan only comes on when the swithc is turned on high. Anywhere else, the fan blower does not come on.

Remove glove box, 4 screws for hinges on bottom. I'm pointing at the transistor with my ratchet pointer!

So he needs to replace the transistor and he's back in business? Same fix regardless of auto climate control or not?

Agreed with Alperovich. Its best to find out what caused the problem and repair it so you dont have to keep replacing the same thing over again.

I don't believe these are made aftermarket, so you're probably going to have to buy it from a dealer or used.
Your dealer is stupid if they don't want to sell it to you. They still will make a pretty penny. Call up Acura of Augusta, or check Delray Acura online and you can get it there. Still, the cheapest options is used.

Well, if you're going to one of those pull the part yourself junkyards, might as well grab both.
I have a reman blower motor if you want it. It works, but it never seemed as powerful as the original.

Thumbs up blower motor thanks!!

Thanks to all. I will try to replace it this week. Luckily, I found one in a salvage yard and bought the entire unit including the blower motor.
