ok you will need gloves and a socket set. you will remove the factory strut tower bar and a/c hose brackets 1st.

then unplug the wires to the black box on the firewall.

then unbolt the box theres 2 10 mm bolts and move it ontop of the intake.

under the black box you can access the egr valve if you want to clean or replace it but the 2 bolts for the egr pipe are accessable here as well.
then the other 2 boolts are behind the intake here

but you will need to yous a swivel extention and put one hand through here on the driver side you will also need to move these big hose out its brackets to move it wout of your way.

once the 4 bolts are removed you can slide the pipe off now if you want to clean the intake you will have to remove it.

This is how my pipe looks like and the I was like way I don't clean the intake as well so this is what I find my advice is start cleaning the pipe if the pipe is clogged is a 100% chance that the intake is clogged too thanks for the help. QUESTION my legend gs 4 doors 1994 type ll did not give any sign of clogged intake. Just curiosity what is the usual symptoms of clogged intake

I used throttle body cleaner and seafoam plus some lil metal rods to scrape the build up.

I dont understand how the egr valve will cause a head gasket to blow. Do you have to take the intake off to clean it the egr passages?
Will it save the headgasket if I put a egr block off plate on?
Do our cars come with the MLS headgaskets or those gay graphite composite gaskets?

When the pipe gets clogged it let's heat build up cause the back of the intake is clogged which traps heat on the back so cylinder 3 and 6 will blow. We don't have mls gaskets on our cars. You would have to pull intake and clean it. The egr block off will not hurt the engine but will effect your emissions and depend on where you live could be illegal
