Well it would seem that ONLY the Coupe's (TypeII?) Final Drive Ratio was lower (numerically higher) than the Sedan's, gears 2and 4 are virtually identical, and gears 1 and 3 are numerically higher(meaning "Lower") in the Sedan...

Type Year/Model 1st Gear 2nd Gear 3rd Gear 4th Gear

4-speed Auto 1991-1995 Sedan 2.476 1.451 0.973 0.630 4.370
4-speed Auto 1991-1995 Coupe 2.458 1.454 0.948 0.630 4.787...

~Hybrid
URLacura-legend.com/vbulletin/f4/type-i-type-ii-767/

BUT the ratios are sooo close that im thinkin the Final Drive will be the major determining factor...
Basically im hoping to get better mpg than my dads '95 LS Coupe, judging by the Rpms @WhateverMph...his mileage was always much worse than my orig Type 1 with Type 1 trans...for his coupe 80mph is about 3500rpm...a bit higher than my Type 1 [email protected]
But i also hope i can get past 5250rpm in 4th gear without having the torque of my orig type 1 (Ive seen ~5100rpm but had to brake) Ive had less than a month on Type II motor...less than 2weeks with Type II ecu lol, so i guess time will tell...

Yea that some old data the 94 some times differ from the 95 94 and 93 are the same just like the the gears are better in the 95 6 peed manual trans vs the 93 and 94

Whats Reeally ironic is that some YEARS back I Unintentionally installed a Type II Auto in my 93 Legend Sedan basemodel that has been "resting" in my backyard since Jul '08 (I still wash it twice a year LOL)...that trans might come in handy after-all!! Just kidding tho...id rather just buy a trans than STEAL one from my beloved 93...its just Resting temporarily, running 360,000mi would make Anyone need a short break :-)
But im cool with my Type 1 trans and the "relaxed" 4.370 Final drive ratio...gas aint cheap anymore lol...as long as my topspeed isnt SLOWER than with my orig Type 1 motor, I cant complain...and even if it is, that'll get me motivated to get chipped or sumthin :-)

Yes you can it will just cost a lil more because of the work of pulling heads and having the cams put in.

Thumbs up

Nice write up and install.
I've been lurking off and on for years on this forum.
Thanks for posting this.
I recently bought a '95 Legend GS, so I've been reading up on some mods.
