Flooded Legend Repairs

After 10 months and a large chunk of $$$ the coupe was flooded Tuesday at home sitting in the driveway. The Legend sat in bumper high water for 3-4 hours according to neighbors accounts. The area was completely dry when I came home from work the evening.
There was roughly an inch of water in the floorpan covering the mats. I had it picked up Wednesday morning and taken to the shop that did the paint. The most disheartening thing was when it was loaded on the flatbed at a 90 degree angle was the water pouring out of the exhaust system.
The only electrical issue is one of the cooling fans running. Probably the switch which is mounted low on the radiator.
State Farm says they'll have an adjuster out this week. I don't see any issues with the insurance and I had planned to take the seats and carpet out at some point to clean anyway...
A few pics...

I'm going to pass by the shop tomorrow. State Farm called Saturday and said they'll have an adjuster out this week. A few thousand cars were flooded in Houston last Tuesday.
The shop did start it after they checked the fluids, when it was dropped off they let it sit on the flat bed at 90 degrees to drain the exhaust.
It started right up, they only let it run a few seconds just to confirm it would start.

Stopped by the shop today. State farm still has not made it out there. Most everything is dry and the shop is about ready to put things back together...
I met with the shop's upholstery contractor about having the driver seat reupholstered. They are going to replace about 80% of the leather on the 'lean back' of the driver seat including the bolsters and dye both front seats to match the rear.
The seat isn't in bad shape, several cracks in the leather from age. Since the seats are out of the car it's a good time to do it.
If State Farm doesn't get out there tomorrow I'll call them Monday. There are a few flood cars there still waiting on adjusters.

Get this....
State Farm adjuster was out Wednesday, got a call last night from the State Farm 'Total Loss Division'. They want to TOTAL the coupe!
They say it's 'level 3' flood damage, meaning water was up to the seats. The water was barely above the floormats. We talked about it and they are going to contact the shop and most likely send the adjuster back out.
I'm also faxing them about $11,500 in receipts incurred over the last 3 years for general maintenance, major repairs and of course the recent repaint ($6,500).
They actually made a good offer to total which I immediately declined. Looks like there will be a little hassle but I'm not too concerned.

More to follow...

Battle with State Farm is over. The seats arrived Friday, the carpet and floorpan is cleaned and dry... Maybe by the end of week it'll be back together.
Not too sure how I feel about the bolster one the one seat, just doesn't look tight. It may have to go for a recheck.
Then another week for the paint blemishes...
