It's definitely not the head gaskets, because we have replaced them twice in a month, due to the still smoking issue (taking the heads off). So if anyone has any advice please feel to shoot me some answers!!! Thanks
I believe you are correct - Head Gasket is not your issue. From reading your statement I am thinking that the smoking may come from bad/worn valve seals or valve guides. You may have to redo your valves to solve the smoking issues. Goodluck

Candysweet, I second the valve seal guides. I have a slight BHG, and I get the smoking when long idles after driving over 20 mins. Rather servicing these issues, I intend to replace with a JDM engine. I have 215,000 miles, servicing them could put too much stress on the piston. A replacement engine is in order for my situation.

candysweet, if your going back in for the third time replace the rings and change the valve seals. The valve guides itself, maybe. The vehicle's 1st and 2nd rings maybe doing its job and you may have good compression but the 3rd (oil ring/ expander) is thinner is more prone to failing especially from sludge. 85% of the Legends that I have repaired because of smoking issue are resolved with rings and valve seals.

Have not heard of any. Felpro or oem is the best right now.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing, but when I had mine done, I also had all the stem seal valves replaced, among other stuffs.

I read somewhere online that if you're gonna replace HG, you might want to consider replacing knock sensor...at least inspect it for sign of crack or brittle on the wire.

BHG

Folks,

I have blown my heads and I'm no longer interested in fixing the car. What are my opinion at this point ? Do I try and strip the car and sell it for parts or just sell it to a junk yard or a third party ? If I do decide to sell it for parts how do I figure out prices for the parts. Please let me know your opinions when you get a chance. Cheers!
