same here, and especially when i have less than 1/2 tank of gas
i've heard on fuel injected cars its normal when you're low on gas for the car to take a little longer to crank. Also some other things that affect it could be, spark plugs, main relay, or maybe even your timing belt being off, these are just a few ideas, what you have could be totally normal, hope that helps
i've got the exact same problem as colinc----only cranks long when the engine is cold. i've tested my battery with a volt meter and its good so i have no idea what the problem is.

I'm sure that there could be several reasons to this issue. I guess my battery was an issue for me.
BTW, you should test your battery professionally. When you take it to Sears or Schucks, they apply some load on the battery to see how it handles. Mine obviously didn't have enough Ampers after a while.
Sometimes, If I park my car on a slight downhill incline ( with the nose down) Over night, or for a few days, It will take a really long time to crank... Like 10seconds (with a brake in the middle) It has only done this twice in the past 7-8k miles though. What could it be? Anyone else have this problem?
