The downside to a lower offset is the rims sticking outside of the top of the fenders. The offsets above that I listed are the generally agreed upon maximum's that you'd want to run on a Legend (maximum being the lowest number you'd want) so anything with a higher number should be fine.
Basically, how it breaks down is the Legend hub's are really far outside the centerline of the car, so we require a higher offset (spacing from the hub face to the centerline of the rim) in order to keep the rubber under the car and not beside it.
