who said 18x8 43offset will not work?

I finally got the pics up of my car and my new jdm linea sport 18" barletta wheels.

and contrary to popular belief, the 18x8 with 43 offset worked out perfectly.

as I thought, I did have to cut (shave) the rear inner quarter due to rubbing and all in all it worked out really well.

I think the x8 actually makes the wheels look bigger vs a 18x7.5 width (without looking like the wheels are sticking out of course). Although the x8 didn't give me the extra lip I predicted, it does make the wheels look bigger.

I LIKE!!!

ehhhh i'm not really a fan...they looked good on paper, but i don't think they look that good now....

also i said they would'nt fit and you proved me right when you said, "as I thought, I did have to cut (shave) the rear inner quarter due to rubbing and all in all it worked out really well."

so obviously they didn't fit without modification.....you can fit any size rim on my car, it's just how much modification you want to do.

i had my racing hart m5's 18x7.5 +44 offset and they fit flush with ground controls and konis....

also i don't like how your car looks like it's uneven with your new rims...it's like none of the rims sit flush with the body

Hey do me a favor, snap a pic of the car from the back close to the floor, i just want to see how far out the tires stick. I had 17x8 and it stuck out a bit, then again it was +38 offset. 8" wide is nice, I miss it, I have 7.5 now and loss quite a bit of grip. --=Keith

I dunno, everyone who's seen them in real life does NOT thing they stick out too much at all. In fact, the tire shop was at awe at how tough and beasty it looks on our coupes.

I never said that I wouldn't not do any modificatons, I specifically said that I was READY to do modifications if I had to.

I'll take more clear pics of it . it does sit FLUSH to the body.

I dunno bout you but I think they look TONS better on the car than on pic. I had 18x7.5 with a 45 offset and I like the look and stance of my current linea sport 18X8 43 offset alot better. It just looks ALOT bigger.

it is lowered, it's lowered on Koni (front upper perch and rear middle perch) with Eibach's all around.

I'll take pics of it on my next washing.

of course your older wheels with the 38 offset will stick out more.

5 MM isn't that much of a difference. I was about to shave down the rinm to up it to 43 offset, but I decided that that 5mm is still going to give me the low rider look. All my friends told me to just get a different set. At any rate, I'm sure different type of rims look different any way, just my experience, oh yea I also hated the fact that my mud guards wern't functional anymore. Good job man. --=Keith

yuck.....

those just dont look quite right on a legend. they dont look bad on paper like jigga said, but they dont really fit the look of a legend.

also, like Leon said, they will rub. drive it hard a little bit,(take some sharp corners) and you will gear it.

those totally do not pass the wheel arches.

I already stated that they rub and that is why I shaved the rear fenders.

too bad you don't like it cuz they look hard to me imo.
