replacing a/c compressor

want to replace a/c compressor as a/c clutch is failing...if I purchase a new OEM
compressor w/drier will I be able to use R134 refrigerant or will it need the old freon refrigerant. Since I cannot do the switch out myself I will have to have it done by a qualified servicer.
