92 Acura Legend LS Audio Issues and Questions

Hello, I inherited a 1992 Legend LS Coupe from my late dad. He loved his vehicles and took impeccable care of them. He had the Bose Premium system but recently the head unit stopped functioning, so I decided to take the time to install a brand new system with upgraded speakers. Man, I had no idea the can of worms I was opening. I got a great pioneer unit and pioneer speakers which I had a local stereo company install for me. I ended up having to have them add a ton of Dynamat to stabilize the rear deck from vibration noise. Now I seem to be having an issue with the rear deck speakers sounding like crap, and at higher volumes the speakers starts to clip and sound like it's being over driven. At first I thought the head unit had a bad channel. I changed it out with the exact same unit but the problem was still there. I check the speakers themselves and even swapped their left and right positions. Still sounds bad. Now the front speakers (door) sound fine. I'm thinking the install company never disconnected the factory amp, since the original speaker wire harness are still there. Can anyone tell me where the Bose amp is located in the Legend so I can check this out? I don't want to go back to the install company, they have enough of my money!

If anyone has a suggestion as to whats causing the rear speaker issue, please, I'm all ears and just tired of the crappy sound.

Let me first start by saying I'm sorry for your loss, you have my condolences. One thing is true, you opened a can a worms with this Bose systems. Most shops really don't know how to tackle these systems and will sell you a dream. Bose speakers run at 2 ohms, unlike the average aftermarket speaker. That could be one issue. The amp is located behind the upper portion of the rear seat (driver's side). Do you still have the Bose speakers?
