So I recently bought my 93 Legend sedan and have always had some stereo issues.. When I use the Radio or CD's I have a good amount of static, and the driver side speaker being alot louder than the others.. There is only static when music is played or when (on the radio) someone talks..It is not constant static.. So my first thought was that the speakers are bad and not the amp. What do you guys think??
I also was thinking i would look at all the speakers and try removing/switching some of the speakers to try to identify the problem, but I dont know how to access the front door speakers..Is it the same as the rear speakers where as you just need to pry off the mesh..
Final question, If its the amp, not speakers, would it be just one amp that would need to be fixed or replaced, or would there be one for every speaker?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BAD SPEAKERS. I HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH MY GEN 1 COUPE WHEN I GOT IT. I HAD A STOCK BOSE SYSTEM WHEN I GOT IT. YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE BOSE SPEAKERS WITH BOSE SPEAKERS OR REPLACE THE WHOLE SYSTEM BECAUSE AFTERMARKET SPEAKERS AREN'T COMPATIBLE WITH THE BOSE SYSTEM.
There is a recall on the amps for the Bose premium systems pre-94 here in US, not sure about Europe. You might want to check with your local dealer to see if you qualify for a new (free) amp! Your particular issue sounds like wiring or failed amps, it could also be a bad connection with the fader knob.
There are a few issues that could be causing this, first if the static goes away when you turn the volume all the way down then it's not your fade/balance buttons (these can cause static). Second, to test the speakers the correct wat to remove the speaker is to remove the door panel. It is possible to get the grills off w/out removing the panel but you risk damaging the mounting tabs and then may not be able to put the grill back in. Third, what trim level is your sedan base, L, LS/GS? This would determine what sort of amp setup you have (check the FAQ for lots of good info). Amp related static means oyu have reflow (resolder all connections) on your amp boards. Last, the 'booming' static that you get with someone's voice on the radios is sometimes an issue with the particular speakers connection, this kind of static usually goes away when the interior is warmed up. I would check the connections and definitely swap speakers to test whether it's in the speaker or the wiring.

You would have to test the signal coming out at each speaker via the wiring that runs to each speaker, it is more likely int he amps than the wiring
wiring where? in amplituner wires or inside the ampli? how to check falied amplituner?

You can but not the whole assembly as the mounting points are different I believe, but if you open up the amp 'box' behind your rear seat there are four smaller amps for each main speaker in there, you can swap these out with the ones from the coupe

how to diagnose it? what fader knob is? Top right of the head unit are two knobs labelled "Fader" and "Balance". They are spring action knobs, if you push them in all the way and then let them 'pop' out with some force the static goes away. Be careful as sometimes the knob will fly off and you'll have to hunt for it in the car!
You might want to take out the h/u and inspect various components, such as transistors ( block-like head with 3 legs) and chips, for any unusual burn. If your speaker(s) starts to squeal or whine, annoying to the ears, one or more internal components of the H/U most likely had been fried.
i gave my AMPLI another time to repair by electrican, but i bought AMPLI from 95' coupe 6MT from Bose premium and it fits and plays EXTRA! :bigok: :bigok:
