If you want all red than goto WalMart and buy red transparent paint and paint the orange part red.

To get clears, its very cheap off ebay to get some. Dont try and make them, they have a very good record of breaking when not doing it just 100% right.

keep us up to date with pictures.

I do not recomend taking your lights apart if you have a coupe. The lights on the coupe seem to be harder to get apart. I am very good with my hands and DIY modifications and I cracked my tail light doing it. If you happen to brake one expect to pay $100 for a new one.
Good luck

I orderd an extra set of taillights from another A-L member who was parting out a coupe. I'm going to do the Clear Top/ Red bottom DIY. Looks pretty sweet on CrazyCuban's car. This way if I screw up the taillights taking them apart in this DIY then I'm not out much.

How would you know, have you taken apart someones coupe lights?

I see a lot of candyapple sedan tail lights, almost no coupes. The coupes that are done are either fabricated or painted from the outside. I know few members who have coupes have cracked theirs. When I tried to open mine they were nearly impossibe to get apart, no matter how many times I cooked them.

This is why every person asking to have me make them I say NO. I want them to be more OEM .. Right now they look like crap when your right up on them.

Once I find a shop that can make them but all clear and the buyer can paint them how they like, I'll let you all know.

ohh here's a little motavation
