Show me a man that's 100% faithful and I'll show you a complete idiot. With that said, there's nothing wrong with a guy who's DETERMINED to be faithful. He may actually withstand the test of time based upon his WILL.
IMO, it's the same as saying, "I'm a safe driver". Despite not having any car accidents, it doesn't make you immune from having a wreck (perhaps less likely).

...you know how the personality of the last Punisher movie guy was? that's a turn on for the type of chicks i like. and that brick building with the ride he had???.... yeah... that's like Austin. you know that Quintin Terintino flick ''Deathproof''? was based in Austin. no bs... i've met or seen a chick just like every one in that movie. but omg! the lapdance scene... jesus christ.. she's freakin hot.
thing is.. Dallas is a different breed... racism from ALL directions.... i've met more racist black and hispanic ppl that white ppl in Dallas County but i've had one be scared to go out to the country with me too..., stereotypes on literally everything, materialistic, and perfectionist.... i would have been a VERY different person if i hadn't seen so many other places. there's a lot of good ppl here too though, so don't get me wrong. but Austin and Dallas are miles apart. that's why i liked roughntumble bars in the coutnry more than city clubs. completely different.

I know she's been cheated on. I know she's men do nothing but cheat her whole life. She's basing that view on what's she's lived, and what's she's seen.
I guess my biggest issue with it is that she is setting us up for failure. The approach mentioned on page 1, where I don't put myself in situations where I could be considered unfaithful just by association is a great idea. I can't expect her to just change this attitude by telling her it's not going to happen.
We've been dating for 2 months, but have known each other for 10 years.
I agree 100%: Men that cheat are habitual cheaters. My hero in life was my grandfather. Come to find out he had a whole other family that no one knew about. He actually died of a massive heart attack while having sex with his mistress. I saw the damage it did to our family, and especially my grandmother. I would *NEVER* put anyone I love through that.
I love my girlfriend. Deeply. Me cheating is never going to happen. I value sex much more than most of the guys I know, but cheating is not always sex. I would consdier kissing sex. Honestly. Cheating is a betrayal of trust to your mate. If I don't respect her enough to realize that a girl that I even kiss, or lead to believe I am interested in, I couldn't live with it.
They also say women have an intuition about a man that is a cheater. I think this is true. As much as my grandma says she had no clue, she HAD to have known my gramps was cheating on her. Actually, without being too crass, she caught him with another woman DURING THEIR HONEYMOON (back in the 40's). She knew back then. She's the one who decided to stick with him, and ignore the problem(s). I lvoe and admired my grandfather. He was a great guy. I don't justify what he did, all I can do is accept he was human. Even in his death, he taught me a valuable lesson in how NOT to treat your wife and/or mate.
Once again, thanks for all the input guys. I'm going to work very hard to deal with this as best I can. This is an issue we will have to work through in time, nothing I can say will accelerate this....
