Infiniti m30

I was watching 3 kings this morning, and although I've seen it a hundred times, I don't think I ever realized the Infiniti m30 was in the movie...

I VAGUELY recall this car from when I ws a kid, but you never see or hear of them. I did some looking:
  1. Less than 2500 produced
  2. Only made from 1990-1992
  3. Worst selling Infiniti of all time

Kind of a crappy looking car. But, hell in 1990 I bet it was baller-ass shit!

For some freakin' reason, the front end looks like the 89-90 Legend sedan. I never seen that car before though.

It certainly does! I noticed the same thing when looking for pics.

That was a definitive Japanese-style of the late 80's/early 90's

Goes to show you how ahead of the time(s) the 2nd gen sedan was/is. It looked NOTHING like anyone had ever seen before. I'd go on to say since. Until maybe the G35 came out.

i used to LOVE LOVE LOVE the M30

When they were talking about it in the movie, dude was like "lexus convertible" and dude was like "there is no such thing as a Lexus Convertible, there was an Infiniti Convertible though" Or something to that effect, i was like M30, and everybody just looked at me like i was stupid...I got into the argument with them

Though it's funny, looking, it was handsome as hell back then, but In a comparison Test between the M30 and the Acura Legend coupe, the Legend Coupe beat it unanimously. Legend was faster, Quieter, handled better and as more refined.

There was a thread about this car about a month or two ago. Somebody here was considering buying one but I don't remember who.

I think you are talking about the ES250. That and the M30 are hella ugly. This chick cut me off the other day driving one.

That "boxy" style was exclusive to the late 80's early 90's japanese cars. Very few broke the mold. the g1 legend did it "ok" but toally destroyed the mold with the g2. the g2 became the new blueprint for the japanese car. A lot of cars still borrow from it.....

lol @ okc . I could see a bunch of people in oklahoma driving m30's around. It' funny to me for some reason. I guess it's like the mustang owners down here in texas. They are everywhere!

Yeah the recurring joke from 3 kings is one of my favorite parts of the movie. Towards the end when the Iraqis show the Saadam fleet

"Is that an Infiniti convertible"
"Yes"
"Does Lexus make this model"
"No Lexus. Infiniti only"
"No Lexus convertible"
"Infiniti Only, friend"

F'ing hilarious

I guess the SC400 convertible came out many years later. 96? 97?
