I had considered a 5 series, or even a 7 series.

Not that owning/driving a Euro makes you a douchebag. However, most douchebags own/drive Euros.

It's a paradox really

I'll go ahead and add the 545i to the list. Maybe a coupe too

oh man, if I had the money to buy a car like the ones you are thinking about, I'd probably save up a little more just to get an M3 Sedan, or a 335i... mmm... that sounds good to me.

I've test driven the Genesis, and it's impressive for the price tag, but I'm still unsure about it's aesthetics...

Don't mean to offend anyone, but good god.....cat fight!!!! Morbo...the car dosen't make the person, the person makes the car. It's all about attitude/personality. GL with your dilema. I've been there. Trying to find a ride....is like trying to find a girl. Gotta have it all!!!! Styling=Looks, Package Options=Figure, Quality=Intelligence. No offence to the ladies, but I'm sure that's how you look at us guys too.

I thought about getting one. What do you think about the build quality, for the long term ownership?

I've driven one too..impressive for a hyundai...but at the end of the day its still a hyundai.,....it won't have any build quality (long term) or resale value..

there's a reason why the dealer told me to give them a figure and they'd make it happen

While I would not put it in the same build quality category of an LS it's also not in the same price range. For it's price range I think the car has decent build quality (but not outstanding). It's appeal lies less on BQ and more being feature/power rich. On the interior, while it looks good, the 'feel' of the materials and small things like the chintzy (not enough resolution) look of the nav screen etc bothered me. While it's no doubt a great deal for the money. I would happily take a gently used certified A8/7series for a similar price tag. But this is also v 1.0, Hyundai can only go up with this car, especially with the way the economy is going.

It looks decent. Just not timeless like the LEGENDS. Not too big on the interior. Personally I can't say much, since I've only seen pics. Thought about test driving one just for the hell of it, but since my free time is limited, I don't....we'll see.

I do like some of Morbo's choices. Especially the G37, the M's. Personally, I'd go with the M45. Then again I have two kids, so the extra room be nice, if I didn't have kids, I'd go with a G sedan, but the hell with it. Be stingy and get the coupe.

^ Personally, although Infinitis have traditionally outgunned Acuras, I would have to say Acuras have much better build quality and luxury content/technology. Although, if it's that V8 thrust you're after, it would be hard not to end up with something like an M45.

If you have money for the LS 460, thats the clear winner in all the cars you listed.
