you know that the G35 is the Skyline right? when they discontinued the Skyline with the RB26DETT, they realized how much US citizens wanted it, so they made a US version, and that was the G35

i think you need to revisit the A8... or one that is a year or two old...there is no better drivetrain out there IMHO...comfy, powerful, sleek, and they donl;t seem to be a dime dozen, at lest not down here in Va, where as there are 5 and 7 series EVERYWHERE... just my .02...

revel in it, i love buying a new car, (even if its an old new car...)

I talked to one of my Euro-biased buddies today (and surprisingly he WASN'T an asshole ...

He recommended the A8 (had already briefly considered it) and the s5...


I'm still just very hesitant to consider a Euro car. the reliability is NOTHING compared to that of the Japanese. I know I get much more car, but I pay a premium for it, and if I still have it after the initial warranty expires, I might as well save the time and buy the Vaseline ahead of time =\

Can't beat the Audi's for that rock solid feel on the interior..it's like being in a vault! I'm a former Audi guy that gave into Japanese reliability

so its between the A8 and the LS 460? i would go for the A8.

No it's between the LS460 and the assumed ownage of the m45 AWD

I'm considering the Euros, but I'm a heavy Japanese car guy

If I had the money, I'd buy 3 cars

-C63 AMG
-LS460
-M45

I'm sure I'l be happy with any of the cars I decide, but I want this car purchase to be my "main" car for the next 4-6 years. A Euro just doesn't seem to be able to fit that timeline
