I would have with-held the e-mail of the sender, but I thought it was to funny.....

See if you can pick out the problems with the Legend pictured....and how it's clearly not a GS.
:EDIT:

The listing was removed. Here are some pics tho....

MY RESPONSE

I don’t know who you are, or what solicited this link....

But the car you’re selling doesn’t match the pictures...

That is not a 1994 Acura Legend.

It is also not a GS

Nice try, but I’m not in the market for a Legend right now, especially one that’s not being truthfully represented.

Thanks,
Jeff

Actually, there's a car on autotrader now that has 20 spokes, etc. and a GS VIN (no, I won't say repost on ya... ) . Interestingly, you might notice that car also has a 160mph speedo and the coupe's taller shifter (all sedans except the GS have the short auto shifter) so the car may very well be a GS...

That said, it has to have done something interesting to warrant enough body work to be so heavily disguised.

What about it says it's not a GS, other than the 20 spoke wheels?

The speedo seems to be a 160mph one (cant open the pics since the listing is down), has the Type II shift knob, auto climate control, painted grille and 94-95 front bumper.

The only thing that seems off is the 20 spoke rims (which were obviously swapped at some point since the front wheel says "back" on it ), and the trunk lid.

The lettering on the lid looks like they had it repainted, removed the 94-95 lettering and crammed it all into the corner 91-93 style. In your first pic, the 91-93 "Legend" lettering wasn't way bigger than the "Acura" on the left, so it looks like they just used the new lettering in the wrong way.

Other than the wheels and the trunk lid, it looks just like mine lol. Did he have the VIN listed?

Right. ^
Probably a previous owner wanted to keep or sell the GS rims.

Yeah, just the wrong wheels.

He probably had some aftermarkets on it and swapped them out for cheap OEMs, or something.

Thats what I based it on. Wrong wheels and wrong trunk badging

I also thought the GS had auto climate control. That climate control looks like an "L" unit to me.

Nah, 1 knob is LS/GS auto climate control. Just controls the temperature in exact degrees. The L manual climate control has 2 knobs for fan speed and rough temperature scale

That shift knob was a dead giveway since even though somebody can swap the wheels, swap the climate control (if they feel like it), or screw up the trunk badging, rarely is the shift knob changed to the Type II knob in a sedan even if the motor is swapped.

Funny how the listing got removed immediately after I sent that message. I still wonder who thought it would be in their best interest to e-mail me.
