Solution = No Vendor fee

Ok everyone, moving forward there will be no need for a supporting Vendor fee.

I have been talking about this all morning and we have all come to the conclusion that its not needed. Im sorry that all of this BS had to go down But if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Stew

What about un-banning those that were banned during the massacre. Please note that I say during and not those that were banned for good reason before this mess.

Stew, it isnt as simple as no vendor fees. It should be no more ads for all visiting the site and no more autoforums, except for the bottom of the page to say that this forum is part of a network. Thats it. But the house is already burnt down, the furniture and the memories died in that fire. Since that, people have moved on. Had nadeem gotten the hint when nothing was implemented and the amount of resistance, instead of taking power into his own hands, the house would have been salvagable, but you got here when the fire was almost out and everybody already moving on.

Let this be a lesson to autoforums, dont underestimate the underdog.

You can't easily undo what has already been done. Many members will never return even if you un ban them.

You know, this is a lot like some dirtbag kicking the shit out of his wife and then coming back a day later and saying, "You know I love you, baby." I may be a lot of things but codependent isn't one of them.

Those Who where banned will be unbanned like I stated yesterday.

I appreciate what you mean, the damage has been done, I understand... But please keep in mind I am the guy trying to move forward and right what was wrong.

I will work on a solution regarding the ads. But remember I am trying to help, constant shitting on the new guy wont. I know its a lot to ask and that you have been asked this before from us. I am different.

Stew,

Care to put that on corporate letterhead with buyoff from your legal department and snail mail it to the mods?

Thank you Stew for helping clean up this mess that never should have been.

It's gonna take some time to heal, as with anything, but I think this forum has enough history and has been through enough in the past to deal with this.

Its sad that we lost some members, but you just can't deny the history on this forum.

cole sorry to say it, but something similar happened back in the legend.org days and then the migration to here. It was bound to happen again.

Its appreciated that Stew is trying to approach this better than nadeem, but nadeem did too much damage and people have already settled at their new home.

I agree totally. The thing about this is that AF has truly lost my trust. Who is to say it won't happen again one month, one year later? I had NO trouble with the ads, I had NO problem with you trying to make money, but when you tried to mess with people who LOST money trying to make aftermarket parts for a car that has very, very little aftermarket support without bothering to listen to anyone, that told me that your company did not care. That's my point. HOW has AF benefitted the community while still keeping a profit margin? Can you do this when there is a viable alternative, another website for Legends? I have heard the same line from a crooked car dealer, "My boss won't give you the car at the price you want, but if you tell me what you really are willing to pay for it, I won't tell him, but will work for you. You can TRUST me. I am on your side." Even worse, your company tried to delete free speech and ban people! Stew, I appreciate your efforts, but you still work for AF, and they call the shots, and they could care less about anything except money! I have been on Legend forums for 20 years, donated to keep the sites I frequented alive. I feel like I have been slapped in the face. That's why OGs like me and Stevieray feel like an abuser with power came in and why the domestic violence analogy he used struck such a bell with me. I totally understand that you are trying to sort out the mess, but to me I'd be questioning my own morals. Why are you working for AF? Using Stevieray's analogy: Do you want to protect someone that just kicked his wife?
