Working again......car fix time :(

Well after being out of a job since November, I've started working again. the job kind of blows, (desktop PC support) but it's mad simple, and pays REALLY well ($22/hr).

Since I've been out of work, the i has been neglected-badly....

I need:

-2 bent rims fixed
-New CV Boot (MAYBE the whole axle, not sure yet)
-Rear Brakes
-2 new tires
-Spark Plugs
-Transmission flush
-Driver side foglight re-wire
-New Xenon headlight bulbs

I'm lookin at 1100+ for all this stuff - luckily I can get both rims un-bent for $170

I think the rear brakes and the tires are gonna be the most expensive. Close to $800 for both of those.

Owning a quasi-luxury car can be a bitch, but once I get this stuff fixed I *should* be ok for another year or so

The i35 is up to 114k now , I hope it doesn't keep eating a hole in my pocket like my Legend used to

sheeet... get me a job there... lol

you could always see if you can find the brakes at a junkyard off a wrecked one... a young car that's in the yard should have good brakes.

Congrats on the new job! Good to hear. What year is your I35? No chance it's a manual? Looking forward to hearing about your progress.

800 for a set of tires and brakes? wtf? Are you doing them your self or paying to have it done? Brakes should be no more than 400 for pads and rotors, and thats if everything is toast. Pads by themselves are like 60 and install takes a couple hours tops.

Yeah the brakes are like $360 at the dealer. New pads and rotors. I'm going with Hawk HPS Ceramic pads. I had them on my fronts and loved them. I'll do my fronts again to match in March probably.

18" BF Good rich are $189/each. I did the front 2 in October, need the back 2 replaced now as the tread is like 25%.

My i35 is an 02. Infiniti never did a manual i35 - only the i30 came with a MT.....but the the Auto with the VQ engine is a BEAST. It's a FWD g35
