'92 LS Coupe w/Koni shocks (low all around)

Okay, after much debate I decided to install Koni Special shocks with my OEM springs and NO camber kit.

I had the shocks installed on LOW all around (bottom of 2 up front, bottom of 3 in rear). The shocks were set to FULL SOFT dampening. I have to say that I am 100% satisfied with the OEM ride comfort and the look of the 1'' drop.

Here's some pics of the suspension after 24 hrs to settle w/ GS wheels (215/55/16). I'll be going for a 4 wheel alignment next week.

What do you think?

-Eric

Hot damn, Eric!! Lookin' goooood. I knew you'd be happy with it. Now I need to get mine from top to lower perches before spring, then I'll be nearly as happy. My only challenge is entering my steep driveway, but hey ... I kind of like the "bearded' look on a front air dam anyway. j/k

Excellent look Eric! I had a feeling you'd like it. For some reason though you rear sits lower than mine Mine has the stance that "jazmyn" (Leon's coupe) had.

The look of those LS wheels with the setup makes me want some

Thanks for all the comments.

Go92Legend--definetly put them on low perches if you have OEM springs. Without seeing your driveway, it's hard to say if it would scrape though.

Stalker--You gotta do it man. Especially with those 225/50's on your CL-S wheels. If you do order them online, I suggest Tirerack.com. I received my shocks in less than 24 hours from when I ordered them.

Blue--Not sure why it's different but I have 125k and you have around 50k less so maybe mine is more worn out than yours. I dunno.

Shaar--Are you sure it's stock suspension? Maybe your springs are shot and they're sagging.

Hotlava-- Still feels like stock man. Handles a little tighter. Less roll in the rear on turns. The wheel is more responsive. Remember though, my OEM shocks were SHOT so this ride is SO much more imporved. It's fun again to drive my car. The Koni's swallow up bumps. I barely feel them and don't bottom out or scrape. And, best of all....NO BOUNCINESS. Once they were installed I drove from Flushing to Woodhaven in traffic on sidestreets then drive out to LI later on the highway. Same ride on all roads. I am impressed. If you wanna feel the ride, you can take a ride with me at the next NYC meet.

Alpero-- I wish I could have gone lower but with NYC streets, it just wasn't worth the risk and added costs. I saved myself nearly 400 dollars not having to buy lowering springs or a camber kit.

Keep the opinions coming, positive or negative.

-Eric

KH-- Are you saying you don't see a difference? This was as low as I could go around here. I wish we could all live in CA and tuck 19's on our coupes but that's how it goes.

SR79-- Thanks man. I swap wheels/tires often and usually swap winter/summer so I usually don't notice excessive tire wear. I am hoping to upgrade my TL-S wheels to winter wheels and have a different set of summer wheels.

Blue-- I'll PM you when I see the 16'' LS/GS wheels.
