All four dust guards had to be removed, and the rear shields had to be cut off. My rims fit the kit without problems.

oh, one thing i forgot to mention to you: one doesn't have to drive your car that there is drastic improvement in Shiznaz's braking department...that was a really really sudden halt!!! really impressive!!! (...and safe too - more importantly!!!)

why did you cut the rear shields off? Why didn't you just unbolt them?
