Ressurection of my legend(Maui)

Got my JDM lights and hood installed. The hood isnt flushed on the passengers side fender for some reason, it isn't the hood I think. I need a new bumper beam. last but not least my car will never go fast again. top speed 65mph

ohh hmm i never thought of that rubber. thanks

edit: I checked it, screwed it in a little. it helped only a little but i tried pushing the side down and holding it for seconds. that kept it in its place or something

The passenger fender looks crooked on the front tip. Maybe thats why it doesn't sit flush. Nice choice on the CB hood.

To me it looks like the bad fitment has more to with the CF hood and less to do with your bent fender. Just bend up the corner of your fender carefully so that it looks normal and then install hood pins so that it presses the hood down.

It looks like the hood bends up near the front more than the middle so hood pins might help out alot. Plus, it's smart to use some anyway.

Also, when you leave your car outside in the sun it will heat up and the bow will sag down and then your hood will look normal until it cools off again in the shadows.

did a little more work on it and the hood is starting to look better. idk bout hood pins...seems like it'll crack my hood, im like paranoid with it. my car goes fast again because I just bent down the throttle body bracket so it went back to normal. bracket was bent up limiting movent of the throttle cable. went cruising today with club lexus maui plus more guys due to an "open cruise" my car looks sexy from far away ^_^

im happy right now, it's not perfect but it looks nice, then its gonna be garaged for like a year while in the army

nice to see how you brought it back to life. When you do store it make sure you take the proper procedures in doing so. i think there is a post around here explaining what to do. also if im not mistaken the oem manual also gives suggestions on how to store the legend if its going to sit for a long time

You need to put in hood pins. On a c/f or fiberglass hood, it isn't an option, it is a necessity. If enough of an airflow gets under there, it'll separate the c/f from the frame of the hood and send the c/f into your windshield. I have seen it happen to a friend of mine, dude almost lost his car b/c it smacked his windshield and shattered it, then flew off and almost caused a multicar accident. Once again, I'll repeat, if you have a c/f or fiberglass hood, HOOD PINS ARE A NECESSITY.

And buy a flashlight.
