[QUOTE=bandoniÖ;1231969]ladies and gentleman we have a winner, anton those colors are sick!

runner up for me would have to be sergio's milano red coupes engine bay. I almost wanted to eat lunch off this thing!!

Thanks - Kind of new to the forum, but have owned my Legend for awhile. I think there are many winners here & all the engine pics look wicked! The metallic copper is off a 350-Z. My brother owned a body shop and was repainting the Z and told me to send some engine parts up and he would shoot them. I like how he two-tone the covers, metallic grey in the center then sanded the text and Honda badge back to copper - that was a nice surprise I like Omairs Black & Copper set up - looks nice. Glad to share, since no one really gets to see the engine bay but me

I will post some more updated pics since I started to work on the car again thanks to this forum - it really motivated me.

First off, anton....that engine bay paint job is SICK dude!! lgnd..I like your clean OEM look too. And Alperovich...where's your PS reservoir cap? I like the 'A' in the bay though! I'm currently debating on how to best match my engine bay paint job to Sherwood??? :

its broke off but At the time it didn't matter as i didn't have working power steering anyways, i've replaced it since. actually if u look up, when i posted that picture originally, i got alot of crap for not having that cap. LOL

yea, the "A" is a rear emblem from a 94+ cashmere trunklid, so it has the painted color match inserts.

Gold matches with green pretty well, also silver. what about painting the fuel rail covers sherwood gree, throw on a sherwood green filled acura emblem and then use silver for the honda writting or silver for the area around it and green for the writing with the cover also green

Yea...I have gold badging on the car so I was thinking of keeping the green/gold theme in the engine bay too. Or get all new silver badging and go green/silver in the bay. I'm with you on going green on the FR covers and using either silver or gold and accent them like anton's cuz that two-tone looks hot imo. I'm thinking of refinishing the OEM wheels in gunmetal chrome...so I might use that color for the accents too...ahh decisions, decisions....

I think it was a standard PPG body paint used by many shops. If you go to any body shop they can mix up any auto color you want. Like going to Home Depot for house paint. The mixing is all done by computer. The first coat on the FR covers was a metallic copper. Then tape off the area around the lettering and and hit it with gunmetal gray. The last step was to lightly sand the lettering and logo back down to the base coat (copper). Finished with a clear coat and that is it. My brother did it and walked me through the process. Pretty cool. The engine parts were painted a few years ago and hold up well.

I did the wifes Nissan Titan in the the GM "Electric Blue" from a 2005 Corvette. I really liked the color, so why not. Basically a good body shop can paint any color you want. Have fun with it
