Ok since I didn't get to go to NALM 09' decided to do a little work on the system. Here is a little more progress and by the way thanks for all the comments on my build so far. Well not any room to display x-overs and I wanted to get them out of the way I'm going to mount them on a board that will sit under the sub box:

Next was going to keep it simple on this build but couldnt (not my style)..lol so I decided to mount my x-over, eq & epicenter(whenever I find it, I've put it somewhere so I would know where it was...lol). The equipment will sit on a piece of plexi I frosted to spread the neon light which will be under it:

I love this because the equipment is thin enough that I can still have my spare tire and jack sit underneath it with no problem (I didnt even have to raise the height of the floor)! Next I started working on false floor. I used 2 sheets 1/4in mdf glue together and mounted plexit from the back:

Then started working on beauty panel. This was my first panel flush with sides of the trunk and I have to say it took me forever to get it just right. 3 wasted sheets of 1/2 mdf I finally got it right. I had to use a router so that it would sit flush against the box since I used hex bolts on the box. Making the beauty panel was harder than making the box...

Ok next since all the wood is finally cut, I can start wiring this thing up finally and once its playing, then Ill go back and start upholestering everything.

why does someone always hafta bump they gums. yo i see we were headed in the same direction, did you get those measurements for the floor board and the vertical cover. i did recently decide to use an epicenter, and im gonna hafta bite on your sittin above the spare idea, because i wouldnt have thought to put it there.

as far as it playing, picture shaq under the rim in a magic jersey when he was tearin down rims!

i didnt mean to bash on him like that..AT ALL
im just saying cuz of some boxes out there look nice and all but sound horrible (not saying this will be one of em) im just saying it cuz ive seen a few bad boxes in my life span that have the looks...but not the expected effect
again...not saying that this will be one of em...AT ALL
mb if it came out wrong or something..and im srry if u guys took it the wrong way..although i didnt mean for u guys to take it that way

^ you beat me to sayin that iam not sure how i missed this but jesus christ that thing is pure sex.......great detail and amazing design of the entire thing. very nice man not that you would need any reassurance on that but just throwin out my 2 cents. christ that this is badass. makes me jealous as hell .....of the box yes but even more so of your skillz with wood and a saw let alone the crazy ideas in your head. i cant cut a straight line with a saw to save my life lol. major props.

ok looking back at your thread i see i missed a few things from the 1st read. im not gona use the epicenter or eq, i just checked out the new 9140, and it is bonkers, gotta get this unit asap. i do still need to talk to you about the box build tho. im gonna put a few diagrams together and get your opinions as to whether you think it will work, due to some of the angles.
