19" RIM question

Anyone running 19x8.5 rims on the forum? (Sedan owners preferred.) What offset are/were your rims and what size tires? I am thinking of going from 18's to 19's. Thanks! Pictures would be greatly appreciated too!

Finally someone decides to let them hang. Going to be a little tricky. I ran a 19X8 +45 offset w/ 225/35/19 This worked fine upfront w/ about 2 degrees of negative camber. (corrected toe to factory specs) Rears I rolled the fenders and ran 1.2 degrees of negative camber.

Ide say keep the offset about +45 to +50 . Max sidewall will prob be a 35 series. 235 will be the max width. You could run a smaller diameter tire for more clerance ie. 215. If I ever get another Legend or RL I'll be doing 18X9's all around....

This is a Coupe though.... (isn't wheelbase diff. from coupe vs. sedan?)

Good question JTYanksFan. I'm also wondering the same question. 19X8.5 is the smallest size of the wheels i'm interested in, so curious. Mostly of offsets.

I think I may have found the answer from a previous thread to my question! Best of all, the owner of the car has a GS just like me! A direct quote from Fut!

Here's the link to the thread of pics of his setup in 18". So yes, 19x8.5 will fit! (I hope!)

So you don't think that extra inch will be the extra inch to make it rub?

What does it matter that the coupe has a different wheelbase?

anyway, if you use a 235 width tire with 35 series, you should be fine

I don't no man, I just thought since different wheelbase, certain rims wheels would work better than other on a coupe vs. a sedan. Like the TL wheels for example. some people with coupes have them on there with not a problem, but I can think of one sedan owner that has rubbing issues... maybe just cause tire size...??

235/35/19 should work though? that sound like a pretty rare tire size though. I'm sure the price is probably like 20% higher than a 20" tire or an 18" tire just cause the odd size.

Sedans actually have slightly smaller rear wheel wells, but negative camber from lowering should correct the problems you may come across

Hey Guys!

I read a lot about these rims & tires issue in this forum but all of 'em were with lowering!
My question is 19" x 8" wheels ( +45 offset) with 235/35/19 tires would fit on a sedan?!
Without lowering.
Wheels are ordered so I'm hoping that I don't have to sell them but the tire issue is still open since I don't have the rims yet!

Please help!

Any solution is helpful!

THX!

if you follow the conversation going on this thread it sounds like yes it will fit especially without lowering.
