Ok, I purchased a set of some sweet chrome 20" rims, and right now, they have 225 35 20s, but the person who had them before lowered his car, and theyre pretty bald on the inside, so Im gonna go with new tires.
I know with such a big rim, speedometer accuracy is affected, so I wanted to know what size should I go with for a 20" rim to get as close to accurate as possible??
what about a 235 tire, will that fit without rubbing?
yes they will fit on 16' but not 20's because of differences in rim size. most 20' wheels are atleast 9in wide. too wide, said it before and will say it again, 20' do not belong on legends, they just don't look right. 20' belong on wide body RWD cars and SUV's.period. it takes away from class and adds to ass.
don't worry about what other people say about 20s...he tried to help at least...
That said, go with another set of 225s they don't make 215s in the 20 variety. 225 will be alright, but don't do 235...highest wheel diameter i'd do a 235 with is 18 and that's pushing it. 16s would be the best for a 235.
For the 20, stick with the 225/35 variety. I think there's a 225/30 too but i wouldn't use that. THat's like a show tire that's just begging to get your wheel bent up in the first half mile of driving.
Good luck with the fitment.
How wide is the wheel. I found out that wheel width isn't really as important as tire size. an 18x8.5" +42 wheel will scrub with a 235 tire but you'd be able to clear with a 215.
well, lets just go right on ahead and ignore that dude. Yall tell me what you think. . . with extra time on my hands, i threw these on one side of my car to shut that dude up. Dont tell me this shit aint sexy.

those r terrible rims! they don't fit in at all. I just don't understand wheels like that. they are too wide, and too high ofset. seriously dude, they just don't look right. oh and how about instead of spending $$$ on crappy looking wheels get yourself a decent cam to take some good pics of your car.
I don't have a problem with 20"s on a Legend as long as it's a nice looking wheel, but I'm personally not a fan of huge chrome wheels like those. But hey, it's your car and if you like those wheels, more power to you.
Surprisingly, I havent been getting any rubbing!! I put a good amount of load on the back to see if i can spot anticipated rubbing, but since the tires are tapered, they fit right behind the fender nicely! I'm most likely going to roll the fender anyway, just to avoid future problems if I cant get my hands on tires of the same style, thanks.
I only bought these rims because I got them for a reeeeally good price with tires. Im most likely going to be changing the style of the rim but not the size, since I want a set to show off my slotted/dimpled rotors.
