maybe i have 18 x 7.5 +40 offset, however i still rub on the back end. our rides take +45 or higher so you may still rub.

Just how low are you guys? I have 18x7.5 with 38mm offset lowered on Koni Reds with the Eibach Pro-Kit and have yet to rub. I even have 2 car seats in the back. I haven't had to roll or shave anything.. Maybe the GS is different, who knows.. Maybe others have shitty springs..

I rolled my rear fender because I was rubbing with 18 X 8.0, +40mm offset with 225 tires. But they are fine after the roll.

are sure its 38mm offset? the ideal offset for that width wheel for our cars is 52mm. 38mm would stick out!

Yes, on my 18 inch rims, the offset is 38mm. I got this directly from Axis Wheels. They actually don't stick out that much.. Believe it or not, when I put my GS rims back on for the winter I hated how far in the wheel well they looked at first with the high 65mm offset.

It depends. You have to take width into account with offset.

Even if +52mm is an ideal offset, it would stick out with a 10" width tire, but would be way sunken in with a 5" width tire.

Also, "ideal" offset would be the car's manufacturer's wheel spec, but if you notice, all of stock wheels are sunken in really bad on majority of cars.

I think Legend sedan LS rims (7 spoke?) were 45mm or 48mm offset. I think I read it inside of the center cap.
